Movie Magic Budgeting is developed by Creative Planet, Inc. and is used by 25 users of Software Informer. The most popular version of this product among our users is 5.7. The names of program executable files are MMB.EXE, MMBDemo.EXE and WebUpdate.exe. Works with mmb file type. The product will soon be reviewed by our informers.
Pros: used by industry pros for some inexplicable reason
Cons: buggy, error prone, and poorly authored.
Comment: I run a group of computer labs for a major college TV department so I have to keep this awful
software on the computers I manage. Whole groups of computers spontaneously and erroneously reject
their authorization code, forcing the code to be manually reentered. Additionally, Movie Magic
Budgeting throws I/O errors to the operating system forcing users to click through windows to
recover their work. In Java, throwing errors to the main method is just plain bad programming. My advice is take a class and learn to use Excel (or the free LibreOffice Calc). You can make it do
everything that Movie Magic does but better, you can set it up exactly the way you like, and you
probably already own a copy.
